CHAT Coach Certification

In this online training, you will discover a powerful, strengths-based church health model and leave as a Certified CHAT Coach (CHAT stands for Church Health Assessment Tool). You will be trained in the Ten Traits of a Healthy Church which CHAT uses as a biblical, principle-based measurement grid in assessing the health of a local church. These Ten Traits blend together the Great Commandment (love God), the Second Great Commandment (love one another), and the Great Commission (evangelism & discipleship). You’ll also be educated in the full functionality of the CHAT Survey and how to customize its powerful, but user-friendly design in coaching/consulting with a church to make them as healthy and effective as they can be.

The Ten Traits of a Healthy Church are based upon the Baker Best-seller Becoming a Health Church which is in its 20th anniversary.

"As a new district superintendent tasked with oversight of 66 churches, I have been on the lookout for a church assessment tool since called to this new ministry. Grabbed one our lead pastors and the two of us attended the Colorado Springs CHAT training. I was impressed with the content and simplicity of the one-day training. Most impacting for me was the time allowed to ask questions and the opportunity to dialogue with the coaches, Rick and Steve. Our first church is preparing to begin the survey….can’t wait to walk with them through the results."

"The CHAT Coach Certification and the tool itself provide an invaluable foundation for reaching next- level effectiveness in the local church. CHAT opens a non-threatening conversation within the congregation and provides the right information to leadership as they determine a pathway forward. I have used it and recommend it highly!"

"What a challenging and stimulating process of looking at the health of your congregation. We can never take the next step in fulfilling God's vision for the church until we can assess our current reality. CHAT equips leaders to enable their congregations to move off dead center and into God's future. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve God and affect the life of the church through my CHAT training."
